Holler! Your Season One "Scream Queens" Are Here!

Jamie Lee Curtis + Emma Roberts = Scream Queen Heaven 

In the most shriek worthy news of the week, Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts have won the title of Scream Queens on Fox! The dynamic duo will star in the first 15-episode season of Fox's new anthology series from Ryan Murphy.

As a horror fan this is killer news! Since each of these women have major Scream Queen cred. Curtis is known for the Halloween saga of flicks and Roberts starred in Scream 4, American Horror Story: Coven and is currently starring in American Horror Story: Freak Show. 

The comedy-horror hybrid series hails from Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Dante Di Loreto. The first season takes place at a college campus that is rocked by a series or murders.

Being a huge fan of Jamie Lee Curtis and having seen every horror movie she did in the 80's when she was the reigning Queen of Scream, it's great to have her back in the genre that made her a star!

Scream Queens is coming to Fox fall 2015...Yes!

Dandy Mott: Send In The Clown

Alright all of you American Horror Story: Freak Show fans like me. While I do not find this installment particularly scary I do find it bizarre, off the wall and unpredictable.

I also have a dark confession to make. Dandy Mott is my favorite character that inhabits the Freak Show universe. 

This past weeks episode was especially enlightening as to his homicidal ways. The fact that he started off killing kittens as a child was a nice touch and a sly reference to serial killer Luka Magnotta.

Obviously the only thing truly Dandy about this motley psycho is his crazy sense of entitlement when it come to offing people. He feels like it was what he was put on this earth to kill whoever and whatever he pleases, as if he could put it on his resume' when applying for a job. 

Pssssssssst! If you did not see this past weeks episode you might not want to read past here...yes I mean it, right here, don't do it, do it at your own risk. I bet you are going to keep reading even if you haven't. 

Yes, Dandy offed his mother Gloria in an OMG moment on this weeks episode, that's correct Frances Conroy is gone, a moment of silence please. OK time to carry on. 

The closing scene of the show was especially dark and nasty, as we see Dandy bathing in a tub of his deceased mother's blood.

Well, if ya think that's disturbing Finn Wittrock, the actor who portrays Dandy says that things are just going to get worse.

"I'll just tell you that the next one, I think his body count might double," Wittrock told me earlier today while promoting his new movie, Unbroken, the Angelina Jolie -directed World War II drama.  "The next one really, honestly takes the cake. Even I'm scared."

Personally I'm not scared, I can't wait till Wednesday December 10th to get my Dandy Mott fix!

OK, American Horror Story: Freak Show has officially premiered, and it confirms the David Bowie song Jessica Lange belts out under the big top: Yes, Virginia, there is Life On Mars.

Rather than re-cap something that you can, and or, already have seen. Why don't I tease you with some non-spoiler items of what wicked things are to come.

Twisty the Clown Lives Up To His Name: "Twisty" you know the homicidal clown who's running around getting his kicks killing people? This week you'll get to see his real face and apparently it is even more gruesome than the mouth mask, that must be one disgusting mug!

A Creature With a Foot Penis Is Cumming: No need to extrapolate.

The Most Bizarre Love Triangle Ever Is on the Way: Siamese Twins Bette and Dot Tattler, played by Sarah Paulson do not have the same feelings for Jimmy "Lobster Boy" Darling, played by Evan Peters. Since Bette and Dot both share the same reproductive organ, that should prove interesting.

 I Spy A Two-Faced Man: Episodes three and four are the Halloween episodes and they are all about the legend of Edward Mordrake (played by Wes Bentley). "He supposedly was born with a face on the back of his head and the face on the back of his head would whisper things," Says American Horror Story Producer & Creator Ryan Murphy. "Carneys usually took Halloween off because they believed if they didn't, their music would summon Mordrake and he would take one of them to hell." Sounds like an awesome vacation, hey Edward, take me!

Spiders To The Max!

It's October, my faaaaaaaavorite time of year, and anyone who follows this blog knows why. 

Because it's when the freaks come out, not just at night, but twenty-four hours seven days a week..Wicked!

Yep, I am a horror junkie, thus I love Halloween and to me, it is a month long celebration.

Thus every year at this time all posts I make for the entire month will be directly or, via my creative imagination, related to the high holy day.

AHS: I'm A Pepper, You're A Pepper...

Wouldn't You Like To Be A "Pepper" Too? 

That's correct all of you American Horror Story fans, Pepper has escaped The Asylum and joined the Freak Show!

American Horror Story: Freak Show that is.

Pepper a fan favorite inmate who visited during it's second season, Asylum is back and part of season four's Freak Show.

Naomi Grossman the actress who portrays Pepper and is pictured above with the World's Smallest Woman is a perfect fit.

According to show creator Ryan Murphy: Pepper is one of the members of the titular group of entertainers, managed by Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange). Explains Murphy, “What Elsa has done for 20 years is she goes around to hospitals and jails and rescues these ‘freak’ circus performers who are going to be shipped away to asylums and she signs the waivers and she becomes their guardians.” This season of AHS takes place in 1952, a good 12 years before the events of Asylum. So Freak Show, according to Murphy,  “is sort of like what happened to Pepper before she went to the asylum.”

Send In The Clowns: It's "Freak Show" Friday

Jessica Lange & The Word's Smallest Woman 

Yeah, I know it was American Horror Story: Freak Show Friday last week too, but the latest teasers involve clowns, those beings that are considered both creepy & delightful simultaneously, that they inhabit our flights of whimsy and our nightmares.

Thus I had to send you off this post Holiday Friday with something that will make you shudder. That's the way I roll.

In American Horror Story: Freak Show, Jessica Lange plays Elsa Mars, the owner of one of the last remaining freak shows in America. The season is set in the 1950s and also stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters and Denis O'Hare. Matt Bomer and Patti LaBelle will guest star. The cast will play various "freaks," with Bates, who just took home an Emmy for her Coven role, playing the bearded lady. Bassett will play a woman with three breasts and newcomer Michael Chiklis will play a strongman. And since it's an old time freak show, expect clowns.

So suck it up and step right up and enjoy the Freak Show, I for one can't wait!

It's "Freak Show" Friday !

Step Right Up, It's Time For The "Freak Show"

I contemplated doing a post about some wedding that happened this past weekend, but honestly while I would like to congratulate Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, I find the latest promotional teasers for American Horror Story: Freak Show more exciting!

Although I must also give Brad and Angelina credit for being clever enough to have their wedding on a weekend while a major awards show, The Emmy's, was happening to help keep it hush hush and under the radar and all.

These promos are getting me really excited for October 8th on FX. In case you didn't know the month of Halloween and all things spooky is my Christmas and I'd like to thank the powers that be for giving us horror fans this present for the past three years, and now a fourth.

Looking at the image recently released by The Hollywood Reporter above sends my imagination into overdrive.

Here's hoping that Tod Browning's Freaks plays a major influence on this "Freak Show!"

AHS: Matt Bomer Joins The "Freak Show"

“American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.”

AHS just got a lot sexier with the addition The Normal Heart and Magic Mike actor, Matt Bomer.

No details on what he will be playing just yet, but judging from the fourth season synopsis of the show above he is in for a horrific time!

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, who directed Bomer in The Normal Heart states: “I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”

Awesome! I can't wait! The show also features returning cast members, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters as well as Bomer other guest stars include, Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, Patti LaBelle.

What a cast!!!

Also there is a creepy new teaser out for the show that premieres Wednesday October 8th, on the usual channel FX.
