Current Mood

The sign Christina Hendricks is holding sums up exactly how I feel presently. Sometimes you just have to lay your pimp hand down and let them know who the F#ck they're dealing with.

People these days seem to have no boundaries and sense of self. It makes it hard out there for us people who know what's what.

Certain individuals, you know the ones who think they can insert themselves into your life and tell you what you should do and how you should behave when they themselves don't really have it remotely together??? Yes, those assh#les, well here's to you bitches!

Now go dry your tears, and tell your Mommy, everything will be just fine when you mind your own business!

Just Because...Christina Hendricks

Streets of Fire!
Christina Hendricks

Just Because I am a big fan of the show Mad Men, Just Because she looks fabulous & Just Because she is painting the town red, here's Christina Hendricks on the streets of NYC!!!

While I believe they ended the show Mad Men when the should of, with what I thought was a brilliant series finale. I still lament the fact that it's gone. I loved it so much!

All of the characters were so interesting, even if they weren't particularly likable

Christina Hendricks portrayed one of my faves Joan Holloway. "Joanie" as she was often referred to on the show, was well dare I say it, always the smartest person in the room. She was in control of who she was and pretty much controlled everyone else. She knew how to leverage her considerable sex appeal to her advantage, while still maintaining her dignity.

Not things were not always smooth sailing for "Joanie" she always managed to keep herself together.

I wonder how "Joanie" would navigate today's world, being as it is way different. I believe she was the type of woman who would know how to work any situation in any time and place. Thus she would handle today's world like an expert, business as usual, carry on.

Michael's Musings

Michael Shinafelt
"I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!" -Peter Finch, Network 1976

Never has a quote from a brilliant film seemed more relevant than now. Sidney Lumet Directed what was then considered a satire. Oh how times have changed prophetic would be more exact. Faye Dunaway was brilliant in this as well. This is my current mood, and I own it.

I'm sorry the old Michael can't interact with you now. Why? Because he's dead. Yep, here we go minions

A Tale Of Two Christina's

Double The Fun!
Christina Hendricks & Christina Ricci
"Fill my eyes with that double vision, No disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, it's always new to me" - Foreigner "Double Vision"

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale of double vision - Kind of, sort of, yeah really! While they may not look identical you are still seeing two Christina's in the form of Hendricks & Ricci.

I'm sure the photographer who shot this thought themselves quite clever, or was at least dreaming like a Texan Girl

These two were last seen together all dolled up at the Christian Siriano show during New York Fashion Week.

I've said it before and I'll say it again New York Fashion Week can make for some strange bedfellows, that's for damn sure. Which means there are many truly unique photo-ops of celebrities who most likely would never be seen together anywhere else. "Yes" that is why I like it, I certainly could care less about fashion, but I dig unique celebrity photo-ops

You learn something new everyday - learning is an important part of living. The more you know...

Slumber Party w/Christina Hendricks

Woof!
Christina Hendricks, Geoffrey Arend & Zouzou
Because she played Joan Harris one of my most favorite savvy, intelligent female characters ever to grace a hit TV show on Mad Men, who was in complete control of who she was. I present you this photo of Hollywood bombshell Christina Hendricks.

Her latest appearance being Nicolas Winding Refn's The Neon Demon as well as an all night movie slumber party Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Pictured with her husband Geoffrey Arend and their dog Zouzou -

Can I get an Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, It's Tuesday?

Of course I can!

It's A "Mad Men" Party

Sing Along With: Mad Men
With the end of the final season of Mad Men drawing near and fan anticipation growing of how the series will end, did you ever wonder how the cast celebrated the taping of the final episode of the Emmy Award winning drama?

Drink excessively? Chain smoke until dawn? Smoke pot and have a Bacchanalian orgy? You know the way they do on the show.

Christina Hendricks recently gave Vulture the 411:

“We partied for about a week straight,” Hendricks spilled. “We’re all surprisingly into musicals,” she explained “There was a lot of singing of "Little Shop of Horrors," ‘Defying Gravity’ (from Wicked), and a little bit of "Frozen.” The secret is out now, the cast of Mad Men are musical geeks “I wish we were cooler.”

Thanks Christina for that bit of fun information, what a great way to move on from a great show, that although I am dying to know how it all ends, I will be sad to see it, the cast and Jon Hamm's bulge go.
