Tanya Tucker & Dan Rather?! Sounds like y'all better tune in!

Groundbreaking country icon Tanya Tucker will join Dan Rather in an all-new episode of “THE BIG INTERVIEW,” premiering Tuesday, February 2, at 8/7c. Click here for local listings.

During the intimate hour-long discussion, the beloved singer, songwriter and teen idol opens up about her successful career, overcoming a disfiguring chemical peel in 2008 and how her faith helped her heal.

Speaking about the botched facial treatment, Tucker said, “I wanted to get a chemical peel on my face. It’s a normal [procedure], it’s not even a hospital stay. They caught the laser on fire with the oxygen… the only thing I remember hearing is, ‘Get the ambulance, we’ve got a fire.’ [I had] second and third-degree burns from here down on my face, and then the flames went up into my nose and down into my lungs... It was the worst thing… I was just saying, ‘God, why me?’”

Currently, Tucker is preparing for the launch of a new album while criss-crossing the country with her instantly recognizable vocal flare and legendary repertoire that includes “Delta Dawn,” “Some Kind of Trouble,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “Love Me Like You Used To” and many more.

Encore! Encore! Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors"

Dolly Parton Wishes You a Merry Christmas!

TV Movie Will Air Once More December 25 9/8c

Snuggle up with your favorite coat and watch!

Less than a week after 15.6 million viewers watched “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” NBC is giving families another chance to watch the TV movie with an encore special presentation Christmas Day at 9/8c.

"I hoped to bring some families together so they could sit and watch a move like this. I really wanted to celebrate the people, my whole family, who made me who and what I am today. I'm so blessed and thankful for everyone who watched and I hope this story reaches many, many more when NBC shows it Christmas night," said Parton.

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” ranks as the most-watched film on the four broadcast networks in more than six years with 13 million viewers during the initial Dec. 10 broadcast, and Nielsen live +3 nudging the total up by 2.5 million to an overall 15.6 million, plus a 27% hike that nudged the 18-49 demo from a 1.8 to 2.3. L+3 ratings measure live viewing plus DVR viewing up to three days later.

The film is set in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955. It is neither a biopic nor musical about Parton’s whole life and performing career, but rather a family-oriented faith-based story about the incidents in her and her family’s life around the time she was 9 years old.

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” is the first in a planned series of TV movies inspired by the country music icon’s songs.

The TV movie is available to watch now on NBC.com, NBC apps and Set-Top Box On Demand.

Dolly Parton's New Development

Dolly Parton Keeps Developing

DOLLY PARTON SIGNS DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH NBC

Network to Develop Slate of Two-Hour Movies With Legendary Country Icon as Producer

Like, who out there does not love Dolly Parton?! Given this news perhaps a live broadcast of the musical "Hello Dolly" should be on the fast track!

NBC has signed a development deal with Dolly Parton, one of the most honored female country musicians of all time and an American icon.

"I am so excited to be involved with my friend Bob Greenblatt, who produced the Broadway version of '9 to 5: The Musical' with me, and my longtime friend and former agent Sam Haskell. We want to create projects for NBC that are both fun and inspirational with a family audience in mind," said Dolly Parton.

In conjunction with production partner Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, NBC will develop a slate of two-hour TV movies based on the songs, stories, and inspiring life of Dolly Parton. This extraordinarily prolific country music artist and movie star will produce these projects that are meant to appeal to an inclusive family audience.

"I don't know anyone in the world who doesn't love Dolly Parton, and the idea of developing television movies inspired by her incredible life and the stories she has sung about for decades is exciting to all of us at NBC," said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment." I hope we will create some uplifting movies that the entire family can enjoy together, a genre of programming that still seems largely untapped on television."

Added Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment: "We all feel so lucky to be in business with Dolly. We're so excited about working with her to infuse these movies with her incredible work ethic and that genuine hopefulness and positive outlook that has been her trademark for years. And you can bet there will be a lot of her music in them too."
