Sunday, March 8th 2020

Cheers To Sunday, March 8, 2020
Kris Jenner
You  may be scratching your collective heads as to why I would simply title a post after the day, date and year it is. Well because Sunday, March 8th 2020 is an oddly event filled day, Usually you get one big to do going on, today in my world there are four, count em', four!!!

Let's start with the obvious, Daylight Savings Time. Remember to "Spring Forward" peeps. The second obvious on is it's International Women's Day. The third is obvious to those living in Los Angeles and participating in the Los Angeles City Marathon. Last but not least, on this event filled day, it's my Mom's Birthday to top it all off...Phew!

Which brings as to why I am using an image of Kris Jenner to cover it all. Whilst on Twitter this quote by her came through my feed via E!News "If somebody says no, you’re asking the wrong person."

This quote hit me where it counts, say what you want about Kris Jenner, but seriously this is amazing in it's simplicity and it's true.

I thought to myself, "This applies to the plethora of activity seizing the day" Now get out there and grab life by the _________ give it a name, it, like the day is yours minions...own it!

That's So Raven

Rave-Symone on The View
While The View is a show I avoid at all costs I do love Ms. Raven-Symone for a myriad of reasons.

Having caught her on the show by happenstance (it's what they had on TV in the waiting room) I may now tune in once in a while to check her thoughts out. She has brings a sparkle to the show that has sorely been lacking for years and I really respect her opinions and intelligence, Raven is bad ass!

And if she gets her way on her request to have Caitlyn Jenner on the show you KNOW I will be glued to the TV for that one!

Here is what she has to say on the subject -

Source E! News:

"I think Caitlyn Jenner is a very brave woman," the 29-year-old TV personality told E! News. "I think she has done a lot of things that will inspire many other people in the world to journey down their truth path...and I'm sure she would love us!"

That's so Raven, and I love her for it!

F#ck Off! Dolce & Gabbana.

Sharon Stone Rulz!
If you own any Dolce & Gabbana, you are forgiven until now. These two tools have bit the hand that feeds them. The founders have made terrible comments about the following: same-sex parenting and what one of them dubbed "synthetic" children conceived via artificial insemination.
Well one of my favorite actresses and people I have met Sharon Stone was among those to defend what's right. Here is her awesome statement below.
"We must meet this type of cruelty towards children who are in need and want homes and families with love and open homes," she said in a statement to E! News. "We must meet these type of behaviors with thoughts turned inward towards ourselves. ‘How can I give more to a child in need, how can I do more for the children of this world who need more and deserve more?'"
"To spend time raging against a closed mind is to waste oneself, a self that can be better spent loving where that love is has been removed from," she added. "To dismiss modern medicine as it helps loving people become loving parents is to dismiss all of the miracles of modern medicine."
Ms. Stone has three adopted sons.
Thus if you buy or still support Dolce & Gabbana, you are a jerk.

"Grease" Live Is The Werd

Hudgens & Hough
In the tradition of Sound of Music live, and because of it's record breaking ratings. A live version of Grease is coming to FOX January 31st 2016 - werd!
The first two casting announcements were made today - and this writer found them a mixed bag.
Julianne Hough will play Sandy, um I'm not sure about the rest of you , but I find the former Dancing With The Stars star and now judge pretty uninteresting. I certainly don't think she can and ever will compete with my first girl crush Olivia Newton-John.
Next up Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. Now this is something I can get behind, she is one of my current girl crushes, and I think perfection casting wise.
Julianne had this to say (source E!Online) "Grease is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy," Hough said. "My siblings and I watched it and played it out over and over when we were kids. This is my dream role and performing it live on television will be one of the most thrilling opportunities I've had in my career so far."
Cutie Vanessa Hudgens who will be on Broadway in Gigi states (source E!Online) "Being Rizzo is something I've never imagined, and I love that because it will be a new challenge. She is such an iconic character that continues to transcend generations. I cannot wait to bring her to life on live television. I'm going to be a Pink Lady!"
OK, Zac Efron as Danny Zuko anyone?!

Paging Katy Perry For Superbowl 2015

Who's That Girl? Katy Perry That's Who
While checking out E! News this morning the headline that stood out to me the most was the Katy Perry would be performing the iconic half time show for 2015's Superbowl.

Now I am not saying Katy Perry sucks, I have liked a few songs she has done, Firework for one comes to mind. But she, at least to me, does not really have the cache of a Beyonce' or a Madonna. Her career is pretty feather weight by comparison.

Oh well, not my company not my choice of who to use. While I am sure her performance will be entertaining I'm just not sure it will reach the potential high that viewers expect from this yearly extravaganza.

Tune in and find out when Superbowl 2015 airs!
