Time Line Cleanser

Milan Dreaming
Sharon Stone

With all the carrying on about last night's season finale of Euphoria (which I don't mind) and the SAG Awards (did anyone actually watch them? I didn't) I thought we all deserved a diversion.

Thus here it is: Sharon Stone slaying during Milan Fashion Week.

See Queen Sharon attending the Dolce & Gabbana boutique event. See Queen Sharon stun, See Queen Sharon make you forget there was anyone else there...

Yeah, that sums it up nicely, no?

It's the last day of February 2022, make it count Minions!!!

I Decided I'm Fine: A Roach Play

The Attic Collective Presents
I Decided I’m Fine: A Roach Play
Directed by Rosie Glen-Lambert
Exploring Hoarding, an American Phenomenon,
Often Stigmatized but Rarely Discussed
February 7 through March 1, 2020

The Attic Collective is bringing its unique blend of whimsy, clowning and magical realism to Los Angeles audiences this February with its production of I Decided I’m Fine: A Roach Play directed by Rosie Glen-Lambert. Written by The Attic Collective’s literary manager Veronica Tjioe and the company’s artistic director, Glen-Lambert, the play addresses hoarding, an American phenomenon, which is often stigmatized but rarely discussed. Opening on Friday, February 7th, the production will run for four weekends at Studio/Stage in the greater Hollywood area, closing on Sunday, March 1, 2020. I Decided I’m Fine: A Roach Play will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. On Fridays and Saturdays the show will commence at 8:00pm, and on Sundays at 6:00pm. Tickets cost $25 for general admission and $35 for VIP tickets that include preferential, central seating and one free drink at the bar. The theater is located at 520 N. Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90004. For more information, please visit The Attic Collective’s site at https://www.theatticcollectivela.com/roachplay.

SYNOPSIS:
When does clutter become a problem, and whose problem does it become?
I Decided I’m Fine: A Roach Play addresses hoarding, an American phenomenon which is often stigmatized but rarely discussed. After the sudden death of the their infant child, Ellen and Stephen find themselves faced with the difficult task of moving on from the objects that remind them of the incident. For Ellen, this proves to be too overwhelming of a task, leading to years of compulsive accumulation. Juxtaposed with the play’s realism is a second layer of the play which utilizes clowning, comedy, and a cockroach musical to steer the audience through the many different ways hoarding is perceived and portrayed in society.

The Roach Play cast features Sutton ArabeBrandon BlumTyler BremerMeg CashelKat DeVoe-PetersonJulia FinchHailey McAfeeLuke MedinaConor MurphyBart Tangredi and Veronica Tjioe. Rosie Glen-Lambert directs, the set is designed by Lex Gernon, costumes and props by Rebecca Carr, lighting design by Joey Guthman, sound design by James Ferrero  and makeup design by Mallory McAfee. The technical director is Austin Kottkamp, the stage manager is Angel Hernandez and graphic design is by Sunil Hall.

This version of I Decided I’m Fine: A Roach Play is a revamped adaptation of a piece originally devised by The Attic Collective that was presented at Son of Semele in August 2018. Since this initial production, the company worked collaboratively to rework the script through a series of workshops, which included improvisation and detailed research. Tjioe and Glen-Lambert incorporated these discoveries into the script, and this new production features significant changes from the first staging.

In 2019, the company’s successful run of The Last Croissant at the Hollywood Fringe Festival received numerous accolades, including the coveted “Top of the Fringe” award and the award for “Best Ensemble.” The show also received the “Best of the Broadwater” award, leading to an extended final performance to a sold-out house. The company also received nominations for the Steve Kent Award for inspiring political or social change and the Larry Cornwall Award for outstanding music in a play.

Friday Feeling

You Lookin' At Me?!
Josh Brolin
This image of Josh Brolin looking like he's ready to go a second round in Venice, CA  perfectly sums up how I am feeling on this Friday, February 9th, 2018.

Translation? Even if Josh isn't ready, I am more than ready for round two! Wanna take me on?

Having recently dropped 25 lbs and counting it feels like I am on the verge of something bigger than myself at present and what that is will reveal itself to me organically and intuitively in time.

Trust me the best things happen when you feel good about yourself - thus I urge all of you to get out and do things that make you feel that way. Number one on that list is exercise. I can't tell you what a difference it has made for me to keep a schedule that consists of four spin classes, one yoga class and boxing as part of  my weekly routine.

Boxing has been the thing that has propelled me as a person in all honesty. It makes me feel like I can take on anything and it, believe it or not, centers me.

Now you get why Josh is the poster boy for my Friday Feeling. Find an image of someone and something to inspire you today and then make that inspiration happen.

There is no time like now! T.G.I.F!

Mash Up Monday With KC + Ceelo !

KC & CEELO SET FOR MASH UP ON JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!
ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND

'KCeelo and the Sunshine Band' to Perform
As Part Of #MashUpMonday

They did the mash, they did the Mash Up Monday mash, oh yeah!!!

This week’s #MashUpMonday on ABC Network's Jimmy Kimmel Live! will feature two of music’s most identifiable – yet different artists with the collaboration of KC and the Sunshine Band and CeeLo.

In the episode, which will air on February 22 at 11:35/10:35c on ABC, the two performers will join up for what has become one of the most-anticipated segments on the comedian’s popular talk show. During the month of February, the series has paired up Panic at the Disco and Sisqo, Weezer and ZZ Top, alternative band Haim with Morris Day & The Time, and Blackstreet along with Aloe Blacc.

Founded in 1973, KC and the Sunshine Band carved out one of the biggest musical careers of all time with their feel-good anthems "That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", and “Please Don’t Go.” Under the leadership of front man Harry Wayne Casey, the band also became one of the biggest touring draws of all time – a mark they still hold over four decades later. Their music has also been featured in box-office favorites as Blow and Roll Bounce, in addition to a successful series of video games titled Dance Dance Revolution.

Born Thomas DeCarlo Callaway in Atlanta, Georgia, CeeLo Green has carved out one of the most varied careers in the world of entertainment. As an artist, he’s enjoyed success with the Hip Hop group Goodie Mob, and later as a member of the duo Gnarls Barkley. He also enjoyed a huge international hit in 2010 with “Fuck You!” He has guest-starred on series such as Anger Management and Parenthood, and is also well-known to audiences for his four seasons serving as a celebrity coach on NBC’s The Voice. In 2013, he released his autobiography Everybody’s Brother.

Casey said he is very much looking forward to the collaboration. “KC and the Sunshine Band has always tried to incorporate a variety of sounds in our music – while being true to ourselves musically. Being able to collaborate with someone like CeeLo will definitely give us a chance to stretch and get those creative juices flowing – and it will make for one hell of a party.”

It's A Gaga, Gaga, Gaga World!

It's My World, Enjoy!
Lady Gaga
Not only did February bring hope of an early spring courtesy of a groundhog, it also brings us a world ruled by Lady Gaga. Yeah, I know there are some of you who think that is a year round thing. I am skeptical on that one, but, I will give the tip of the hat to her, Tony Bennett style for the second month of 2016.

So gather round peeps and get the 411 on the two huge reasons Gaga owns your ass for February....

First off the mother of all monsters will perform an "Experimental" tribute to David Bowie at the 2016 Grammy Awards on February 15th. Normally this show falls under AAAC (avoid at all costs,)

But this is inspired perfection! After all what has Gaga's career been other than one big tribute to one of the Gods of rock?

Lapping up the momentum of this blessed announcement comes another Gaga bon mot. She is officially singing the National Anthem at Superbowl 50 this Sunday! Marlee Matlin will be signing it alongside her.

Wow! This is going to be some opener to the football's biggest day. The Lady has proven she has the chops to score a touchdown with this, and while I doubt she will veer to far from a traditional delivery of such a revered song, I bet we will get some Gaga flourishes and she will make the performance all hers.

For sure she will not forget the lyrics.
