Just Because...A Royal Wedding Portrait

What A Feeling!
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

Just Because I love black and white photography, Just Because the magic still lingers & Just Because they make such a great pair - here is the official portrait of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle brought to you by the words Royal & Wedding.

You know I really don't have much to say about posting this, since I am probably one of the last individuals covering and commenting on pop culture to do so.

This beautiful image speaks for itself. You don't need me to tell you my impressions of it, because I am betting mine are simpatico with yours.

Plain and simple this image evokes positive energy. That's something everyone needs right here, right now. So let's go with it - what a feeling!

Who's That Girl?

If I Was You, I'd Want To Be Me Too
Sharon Stone
Who's that hiding behind those sunglasses rocking an animal print bikini? It's Sharon Stone, bitch, and guess what? She's 59 years young!

It seems Ms. Stone has found the fountain of youth or perhaps has a portrait in the attic as she puts most women half her age to shame.

Sharon looks terrific dressed down or up. In fact while choosing an image for today's post I debated whether to feature her looking stunning in a glamorous gown or posting her in this bikini. Ultimately the two piece won. My reasoning was this, if you are going to show how great 59 looks make sure it's all out there to view. It's very inspiring!

As I sit drinking my smoothie before spin class it also drives home that I have lost 24 lbs and am 52. "Yes" 50 is indeed looking like the new 30 more and more peeps.

Get inspired to be your personal best in 2018, the effect it will have on your life is amazing!

Spend Mother's Day With Traci Lords

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

To all of you Moms out there Happy Mother's Day!

One of my favorite people, Actress/Writer/Icon Traci Lords says her greatest role ever is being a Mom to her son Gunnar pictured with her above. No, he isn't the guy with the silver hair on the right he is the young man in the middle. The guy on the right is her foxy husband Jeff.

So I thought I would share this portrait of Traci and her family, courtesy of Celebrity Wife Swap.

Yes, you read correctly Traci will be swapping places with Jackee, of 227 and Sister, Sister fame on the Wednesday May 20th episode of Celebrity Wife Swap at 10pm on ABC.

Traci says she and her family had a great time and that son Gunnar steals the show. I am sure he does, his effervescent personality jumps at you in the photo.

"The natural state of motherhood is unselfishness. When you become a mother, you are no longer the center of your own universe. You relinquish that position to your children" - Jessica Lange

Portrait Of Margaret Cho - In Blood

Margaret  Cho: Portrait, Bloody Portrait
"I think it's very primal, very ritualistic.” - Margaret Cho
That's Margaret Cho talking about the Dorian Gray like portrait she has hired artist Vincent Castiglia to do of her with 18 millimeters of her own blood. That's right Margaret is going to have a portrait of herself in blood, how truly wonderful!

And I did not make that comment in jest, referring to the quote from Cho above I am completely on the same page as her...I once had a primal piercing done because I wanted to experience something that raw. It was a huge rush!

It was in my ear, they put a sharpie mark on my lobe where they wanted the hole to be, numbed it with ice and then took a double headed hollow needle aimed and jammed it through my ear, the adrenaline rush not to mention the shooting blood was a pretty amazing and an experience I will never forget!

Margaret has known Vincent for a couple of years, but was a fan of his macabre collection of work, painted exclusively with the artist's own blood — long before the pair even met.
"I loved what he was doing, his art is so finely detailed. This is exciting to go through this process of collecting my blood and getting a portrait painted.”
Ms. Cho expects to use her bloody portrait for album covers and tour art once completed.

As a footnote this is the first time Mr. Castiglia has used anyone else's blood other than his own in his work, the piece should prove historical.

Hey, Vincent I am up for it if you ever want to use my blood sometime!
