"Ghost Riders"

Ghost Riders
Coming February 8th 2022
For the first time ever on Blu-ray & DVD
via MVD Entertainment Group

Revenge is a hearty meal for phantoms of the prairie! On a dark and haunting night, all that is visible by the campfire light is the breath of vicious lawmen. The local preacher and townspeople gather on a lonesome prairie as the lawless career of desperado Frank Clements is about to end. Just as the hangman's noose tightens around his neck, the most feared outlaw of 1888 shouts a curse of revenge on the town preacher - a curse which will haunt the preacher's family through generations. One hundred years later, unsuspecting of the events in 1888, the town is prospering. Frank Clements and his gang return from hell to seek revenge against the preacher's grandson and his family. The fight against the phantoms from the past proves futile, and they become unwilling victims of bloodthirsty outlaws. Weapons are defenseless against the phantom cowboys - you can't kill what's already dead!

Coming Soon: "Madhouse"

Those F@cking Evil Twins!

Madhouse [Blu-ray + DVD] (6/13)

MANY PEOPLE VISIT ... NO ONE EVER LEAVES.
Helmed by legendary producer/director Ovidio Assonitis, the man behind such cult favourites as The Visitor and Piranha II: The SpawningMadhouse is a crimson-soaked tale of sibling rivalry taken to a terrifying and bloody extreme.

Julia has spent her entire adult life trying to forget the torment she suffered at the hands of her twisted twin Mary... but Mary hasn't forgotten. Escaping hospital, where she's recently been admitted with a horrific, disfiguring illness, Julia's sadistic sister vows to exact a particularly cruel revenge on her sibling this year - promising a birthday surprise that she'll never forget.

An Italian production shot entirely in Savannah, Georgia, Madhouse (aka And When She Was Bad and There Was a Little Girl) fuses slasher elements with the over-the-top excess of '80s Italian terror - resulting in a cinematic bloodbath so gut-wrenching that the British authorities saw fit to outlaw it as a "video nasty".

Melanie Griffith Unfiltered

Melanie Griffith
Can You Handle Her Unfiltered?!
Walking in a winter Instagram...

The Internet has not been kind to Melanie Griffith. Shit, is it actually kind to anyone? She has gotten more than her fair share of hater comments on it though.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, with a glass of Cabernet I always say. That is exactly what Melanie did by posting a smug selfie on Instagram with this sassy quote:

“Here ya go. Unfiltered. I’m 58, and I’m in Hawaii Five O playing Scott Caan’s Mom. Go ahead… Say some more mean things. Merry Christmas.”

Now who's got the most cake? Suck on THAT trolls!

A Different Kind Of "Tomboy"

Bend It Like
Michelle Rodriguez
Ever since Michelle Rodriguez hit the scene in the indie film Girl Fight she has always marched to the beat of her own drummer. In other words she is fantastic!

So leave it to her to star in a most unique tale about "an assassin who is double-crossed by gangsters and finds herself under the scalpel of a rogue surgeon known as “The Doctor,” who turns him into a woman. Rodriguez’s character then seeks revenge on the gang"

No your eyes are not deceiving you Michelle is going to play a transgender assassin. If anyone can pull this off it's her.

FYI "The Doctor" will be portrayed by none other than Sigourney Weaver, who coincidentally co-starred with Rodriguez in Avatar. One must always have a partner in crime I always say and Sigourney is a game actress up for anything.

Oh, yeah, the movie has a title too: Tomboy, A Revenger's Tale

It was written and will be directed by veteran action dude Walter Hill, best know for the cult film The Warriors and 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy.

Booyah!

"Revenge" Series Finale May 10th

I'll Get You My Pretty: Emily VanCamp & Madeline Stowe
What can I saw about Revenge? OK, let me start with this, season one was a quite addicting guilty pleasure. Season two lost it's marbles. Season three was hit and miss and season four was really lame until toward the middle and then went limp again toward the end.

Yet, I continued to watch. I guess it like the old saying about not being able to take your eyes off of a train wreck. Seriously last weeks episode leading up to this Sunday's series finale reminded me of a cartoon quite frankly. Hey I gave it name.

Of course I will be watching this Sunday none-the-less. The thing that kept me watching? I found the characters interesting enough to put up with the over the top cartoon storylines.

It will be interesting to see how the saga ends and who will live or die. Honestly I thought the end of season three would have been the perfect end to the series when Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp) successfully had her nemeses Victoria Grayson (Madeline Stowe) committed to a sanitarium.

So Revenge fans it's time for the last hurrah Sunday at 10 pm on ABC.

Scoop! "Revenge" For Courtney Love

Courtney Love On Empire
Is anyone out there loving Courtney's return to acting? I know I am!

Starting with her story arc on the final season of Sons of Anarchy to this weeks stint as a fading rock star saved from obscurity on the hot, hot, hot break out show of the season Empire.

Up next for Ms. Love? She will be appearing on one of her favorite shows Revenge.

That's right the rocker loves the show and met with the creators of it and they came up with an awesome role for her, naturally.

It's always riveting when Courtney appears on the big and small screen. After a quite lack luster season I am finally looking forward to seeing Revenge again!

Kim Richards "Revenge" This Sunday

Watch Your Back Hamptons, It's Kim Richards!
Revenge is one of the most uneven, frustrating shows I have ever followed. Every season contains good episodes and bad ones, the week to week quality of the show is like a game of darts sometimes it hits sometimes, OK most of the time, it misses.

The last two weeks episodes have left me underwhelmed. Yet I continue to watch and there is added incentive this Sunday as one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kim Richards guest stars.

Richards is what drew me to watch RHOBH in the first place as she was a child star when I was growing up. She starred in one of my fave Disney films ever Escape to Witch Mountain. So there!

Obviously Revenge felt the need to call in a drama pro for some extra trouble and Kim is a perfect choice to do just that!

Richards will be playing Stephanie, a society lady and friend of Victoria's (Madeleine Stowe), who is a member of Nolan's (Gabriel Mann) Southampton Beach Club.

Will Stephanie will be carrying some secrets in her purse? Do you really need to ask? She and her friend Heather each have a secret or three and they're willing to pay good money to keep them on the down low.

So Revenge you have managed to rope me in for one more Sunday by choosing a cleverly well cast guest star. Guess who will be back for more? Yep, me, it's a no brainer.

"Entertain Me" Turns One !

Photo: Jay R. Lawton
Yep, it's hard to believe September 14, 2011 I published the first posting on this blog an interview with singer Graham Colton about his then current release "Pacific Coast Eyes".

Since that time there have been plenty of other interviews - Margaret Cho, Traci Lords & James Durbin come to mind.

Not to mention my geek guy thoughts on things I am a fan of: "American Horror Story", "Pretty Little Liars" and "Revenge".

This blog was started for me to have an outlet where I could write about who and what I wanted with regard to the Entertainment Industry. The things, people, music, movies....blah, blah, blah that I like and or find interesting.

In honor of turning a year old today I thought I would re-publish the #1 post on this blog.....or to put it a little more simply, the posting that has had the most hits of all time on "Entertain Me".

And the number one blog post is, drum roll please..... Traci Lords "Last Drag" !!!

Enjoy your weekend...!

TV Watch: "Revenge" & "American Horror Story"

Two of my most favorite shows ever debuted last year..."Revenge" & "American Horror Story" and while I know I am a little slow on the draw with writing about the latest casting news, well whatever, I was busy writing about other things, so there and bite me!

So now I write as a fan of both shows who is over the moon or licking an udder about two of the most juicy pieces of casting evuh!

You got it, this is a fan gush, get over it. First off how brilliant was it of for the peeps behind "Revenge" to cast one of my favorite actresses, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Amanda's Mom?! She will more than go toe to toe with Madeline Stowe, she will obliterate that beotch, "Single White Female" anyone? JJL glad to have you back in a major role in a high profile project, the last time I saw you was at a Harmony Gold screening of your directorial debut with Alan Cumming - "The Anniversary Party" - "Yes" I know it's not the last time you worked, but it's the last time I saw you...go grrrrrrrrrrl, you are fierce!

Oh, and lest we forget one of the hottest men and stars on the planet, Adam Rivai Levine is on the second cycle of "American Horror Story".

Wonder if he will show butt like Dylan McDermott, odds on bet? "Yes" - hey he is sexy as heck and no proper hottie remains clothed in a horror opus.

Yep, I can't wait for the debut of these two shows, until then...I guess there is always "The People's Court".

Until they premiere tune into:

Ariel Beez: "Snow White" Goes Solo

Ariel Beez formerly of “Snow White & The 7 Slutz” is now flying solo - ya know, the usual band disbanded for various reasons sort of thing.

This weekend she has a gig at “Hillbillyhip” in Topanga, CA, Saturday February 25th 2012, let’s check in with the now Slutz- less “Snow White”.

MS: So what happened to the Slutz?

AB: Well, our bassist moved to Orange County, and I kind of wanted to pursue solo stuff.

MS: Cool, so are you still going to be doing punk at your upcoming gig?

AB: Yeah, the upcoming show is like a punk/folk show - my part, I’m not really sure how to describe it, I play ukulele, I am opening for a big band on the punk scene called “Ramshackle Glory” It’s a good opportunity to be opening for them. Part of the show is electric and part of it is acoustic.

MS: I love acoustic! Do you remember me from your childhood at all? It has been a while.

AB: Were you in Uncle Phil’s (Esposito) acting class?

MS: Yes, I was that is how I met your Mom (Nina Savelle- Rocklin).

AB: Vaguely, I was really little.

MS: I’ve actually met your Dad too (Matt Earl Beesley, Producer on
“Revenge“) and “Revenge” is one of my favorite shows.

AB: Oh, that’s awesome!

MS: Speaking of Phil, you, like myself, love tattoos and your first one was honoring him, tell us about it.

AB: Phil was very important in my life, he was like a Father Figure, he and his partner Joseph. The tattoo I got to honor him is on my forearm, it’s an infinity sign, but I had it done like a vine, and it has his birth date written in the infinity.

MS: Very nice.

AB: Also I have another quote tattooed on my back, it’s from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” the quote is “It’s the truth, even if it didn’t happen”. It has to do with my past and the fact that I’m a writer. So to have such an amazing piece of literature on my body by such an amazing author like Ken Kesey is really important to me.

MS: Obviously you write all your own songs.

AB: Yes, I do.

MS: That is awesome! So other than acoustic what can people expect from your show this Saturday?

AB: All around the show is going to be an amazing time, because it is so many different groups of artists. One of the bands is my boyfriend performing with a friend of mine and an accordion. My music? I wouldn’t really know how to categorize it, I wouldn’t call it punk, it’s more quirky and a little bit whimsical. Folk/Punk is something I really like, it’s fun to take punk subjects like: Drugs, Sex & Rock-N-Roll and then put them across in a folky way.

MS: Sounds Great! I am making a point of being there Saturday.

AB: Thank you so much for this opportunity, hope to see you there!
