Sunday Funday

Today I am feeling footloose and frivilous, thus I hereby bequeath you with a meme that tickled my pickle when I saw it.

Being a fan of Scarface and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre well...the lure of this mash up was too hard to resist and not make a Sunday Funday post of.

Sharing is caring after all and sometimes ya just wanna spread the entertaiment.

After adding levity to your day, don't say I never did anything for you and yours....

"Yes" it's that kind of party!!!

Sunday Funday

Say Hello To My...
Michelle Pfeiffer & Al Pacino

Today I feel the need for levity. It's what the world needs right here, right now. Well I found this treasure whilst hitting the WWW.

It's something I was quite surprised and caught of guard seeing a behind the scenes photo of Al Pacino & Michelle Pfeiffer laughing, "Yes" laughing on the set of Scarface!

When you think of Scarface laughter is not the first thing that comes to mind. This being stated one would have to venture the on set mood wasn't always as grim as the film itself. However I just never thought, well, anyway this to me was a find that put some Funday into this Sunday.

Get out there today and bend it with Al & Michelle the Funday OG's!

Current Mood

Don't Call Me "Baby." I'm Not Your "Baby."
Michelle Pfeiffer

I follow @NotableHistory on Twitter which serves up Hollywood Vintage Photo realness. Well when this classic of Michelle Pfeiffer came through from the film Scarface I stopped and took it in for a bit, it gave me all the feels, a mood if you will.

Thus my Current Mood about 2022 is capsulized at this moment in time by this vintage image of Michelle Pfeiffer portraying Elvira Hancock in Scarface.

It's all the explanation I'm going to offer, or give, so don't ask for anything more, capice?

All one has to do is take the image in to get a read off it and understand innately where I am coming from.

Hey, if you know, know, now it's time to say goodbye...

Goodbye.

Film Buff Friday: The Climber

Joe Dallesandro beyond Andy Warhol's Factory...

THE CLIMBER [Blu-ray + DVD] (May 16th)

After shooting cult favorites Flesh for Frankenstein and Blood for Dracula in Europe, Joe Dallesandro spent much of the seventies making movies on the continent. In France, he worked with auteurs like Louis Malle and Walerian Borowczyk, and in Italy he starred in all manner of genre fare from poliziotteschi (Savage ThreeSeason for Assassins) to nunsploitation (Killer Nun).

The Climber follows in the tradition of gangster classics such as The Public Enemy and Scarface as it charts the rise and inevitable fall of small-time smuggler Aldo (Dallesandro). Beaten and abandoned by the local gang boss after he tries to skim off some profits for himself, Aldo forms his own group of misfits in order to exact revenge...

Written and directed by Pasquale Squitieri (Gang War in NaplesI Am the Law), The Climber is a prime example of Italian crime cinema - a high-octane action-thriller full of brawls, fistfights, shootouts and explosions!
