The Woman Behind The Mask

Peek-A-Boo
Guess Who?
Here is a pic of one of last night's SAG Award nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Mini Series or Television Movie.

She posted it to her Instagram page with the caption: "Who's ready for the SAG Awards? #sagawards #biglittlelies

The nominee also went home empty handed. If you guessed Laura Dern, you guessed correctly. What's that? Do you win something? Uh, no.

While I did not watch the award show, I do enjoy seeing the photos post all the pomp & circumstance.

Particularly of celebrities preparing for their big night who do not shy away from making themselves look silly.

Thus my SAG Award for Best Instagram pre-show selfie goes to Ms. Dern!

Keep on doing you Ms. Thang!

Photobombimg "The Virgin"

Photobombing Becomes Her
Gina Rodriguez & Meryl Streep
Extra, Extra! Meryl Streep revealed a talent that the public at large was not aware that she had until she demonstrated it at the Screen Actors Guild Awards

As you can see by the evidence above as  well as being a world class actress Meryl also is an A-1 photobombing machine!

Look at Streep upstaging Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez on the SAG awards red carpet. Gina is blissfully unaware that Meryl is stealing her moment, or adding to it depending on your view of things,

I wonder what Gina thought when she saw the photo? Perhaps she caught Streep out of the corner of her eye and full on busted her. Even better maybe Meryl stuck around and confessed to Rodriguez and they both had a conversation and a laugh.

Whatever scenario went down it is a memorable photo and shows the prankster in Streep

Only in Hollywood...

Monday, Monday....Stranger Things

"Monday, Monday, So good to me, Monday morning, It was all I hoped it would be" - The Mamas & The Papas

It's the Monday after the Screen Actors Guild Awards and there were some amazing speeches last nice in case you missed them.

Well since I have been super busy this weekend and am headed to a 6:30 am taping of Fashion Police this morning, let me leave you with one of them.

The cast of Stranger Things won for best ensemble in a drama series. The gang gave the mic over to star David Harbour better known as Chief Jim Hopper and boy was it amazing!

Thus I leave you with it to kick your week off on a positive note. I need to motor Margaret Cho and Melissa Rivers are waiting.

PS - be sure to check out Winona Ryder's facial expressions too, they are the best!

Get ready for a spoonful of truth!

Working "9 to 5"

Trio
l-r Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin & Dolly Parton

Well this should be fun! Jane Fonda & Dolly Parton are going to present Lily Tomlin the 53rd SAG Lifetime Achievement Award at the what else? The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 29th

OK, I don't get the 53 and 23 thing, but I do comprehend why the award is being presented on the SAG Award Show. It really doesn't matter anyway when it brings us 9 to 5 reunion, right?!

"Yes" Fonda, Tomlin & Parton have remained close friends all these years since their classic work place comedy 9 to 5 was released December 19th 1980, the day after my Birthday, there's a piece of trivia I bet  you didn't know before.

I was taken to see it that weekend actually (I wasn't old enough to drive yet and of course you know my Mother wanted to see it too) What a fun movie it was and still is.

This will make the SAG Awards a must see for me this year, well at least this part of the show, and I am sure this news has put a smile on all your collective faces, thus I have done my job.

Later and have a Groovy Tuesday
