Groundbreaking country music icon Tanya Tucker opened up for the first time on NBC’s TODAY Show about her musical tribute to Glen Campbell and performed “Forever Loving You” this morning (click here to watch). A Tribute To Glen Campbell...

In recent years, groundbreaking country music icon Tanya Tucker has been quietly writing and recording new music while coping with a wave of emotions surrounding Glen Campbell’s battle with Alzheimer's disease. While their relationship and breakup made headlines years ago, Tucker channeled her heartfelt feelings for Campbell in a new song titled “Forever Loving You.” A portion of the proceeds from “Forever Loving You” will benefit Alzheimer's Foundation of America, a non-profit organization which provides programs and services for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers, as well as funds research towards a cure for Alzheimer’s.

“I’m just devastated. Absolutely devastated. It’s been so hard these past several years knowing what he’s been going through. My heart just breaks. Glen and I shared some incredible, precious memories together for a long time. There were some ups and downs and, of course, all the downs were played out in the press. We both got past all that. Forgiveness is a wonderful thing. It’s why I’m releasing “Forever Loving You” in memory of Glen and for all of those who are losing or have lost someone they love. I’ll forever love you, Glen.”

Country music superstars didn’t hesitate to come together for STARS BEHIND THE STARS to support the families of slain Dallas police officers. In light of the tragedy, more than fourteen artists, including Tanya Tucker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Wills, Collin Raye, Janie Fricke, T.G. Sheppard, Kelly Lang, The Bellamy Brothers, T. Graham Brown,Johnny Lee, Gene Watson, John Conlee, Ronnie McDowell,Mickey Gilley and Moe Bandy, will travel from Nashville and beyond to perform during a benefit concert at the world-famous Billy Bob’s Texas Wednesday, July 27. Randy Travis will also make a special appearance during the event. Billy Bob’s Texas is donating the facility and providing staffing and marketing for the event. Since her 1972 debut, Tucker has enjoyed an incredible career that garnered her four Platinum albums and eight Gold albums. In a storied 40 year career, she has produced 23 Top 40 albums and a string of 56 Top 40 singles, 10 of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. Along the way, she has provided some of the biggest country music hits of each decade, including, “Blood Red and Goin’ Down,” “Would you Lay with Me (In a Field of Stone)” and “Texas (When I Die).” Tucker is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two CMAs, two ACMs, and three CMT awards.
