Grace Valerie Live @ The House Of Blues

Go Grace!
Singer/Songwriter Grace Valerie took to the stage at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip last night and I was there.

The singer of the Randy Jackson (yes, that Randy Jackson) produced hit single "When The Lights Go Down" and her current hit, and my personal favorite of hers "Not For Love" produced by the prolific Busbee sang both of these songs and others with a live band and she rocked it!

So enough of my word vomit and let's see the photos I took of the evening shall we????

AHS: Sarah Paulson Is A Two Headed Freak

Double Your Pleasure With Sarah Paulson
This season on an American Horror Story: Freak Show - it's two, two, two Sarah Paulson's in one.
If you need an explanation for this, hint, hint, this season is subtitled: Freak Show.
The wait is officially over now that we know who Sarah Paulson, aka our favorite Supreme, uh, I thought that was Diana Ross, will be playing when she returns for Ryan Murphy's horror show next season. Paulson announced her character by tweeting a photo of herself with two heads, who are apparently Bette and Dot.
When she took to her Twitter page she had this to say about playing the duo:
"So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season. Two heads are better than one!"
Looking forward to more character announcements - Hell to the yes!

Pssssst! Heard Any Good "Propaganda?"

PROPAGANDA to be released on July 22

The controversial, worldwide sensation smuggled from North Korea
WINNER of Founders Grand Prize from Michael Moore for
Best Picture at the Traverse City Film Festival

Propaganda is the way of the world, get yourself some...

Controversial to its core, this hard-hitting anti-Western propaganda film looks at the influence of American culture on the rest of the world from a North Korean perspective, and has been described as 'either a damning indictment of 21st Century culture or the best piece of propaganda in a generation.'
Propaganda signals the birth of a new genre-bending generation of film maker. Using the 'fake North Korean propaganda' found-footage device, Director Slavko Martinov, (who just spoke at a recent TED conference) parodies its language and stylings, before targeting the mountain of hypocrisies and contradictions that make up the modern Western narrative. In doing so, the film delivers a devastating blow to those who might be quick to laugh at 'backward' ideologies before considering how political and cultural trends have weakened Western claims to the moral high ground.

In chapters with titles including "Rewriting History," "Creating Ideas and Illusions" and "The Cult of Celebrity," the film takes aim at advertising, war, TV, consumerism, religion, censorship, celebrity and historical revisionism - all sources of, or the result of state propaganda - in a way that is thoroughly North Korean, alarmingly authentic and disturbingly precise.

Propaganda has caused an international incident involving the NIS (South Korea's CIA), the Catholic Church, Homeland Security and the FBI. In fact, Martinov and his crew to this day stand accused of being North Korean agents by the South Korean government. If the best way to see our selves is through the eyes of another, then this jaw-dropping film will hold a mirror to Western media, politics and history, and the propaganda that has shaped them.

Winner: Best Picture - Traverse City Film Festival

Official Selections: DOXA 2014, CLIFF Film Fest, Olympia Film Festival, CPH:DOX 2013, Melbourne underground Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, PUFF Festival - Hong Kong, Docville Festival 2013, Doc Edge Festival 2013, Byron Bay Film Festival, IDFA Film Festival 2012

Ponyboy Shares The Cure's "Secrets"

"Nobody knows we love
I catch your eyes in the dark"
"Secrets, Shared with another boy, Talking all night in a room, All night,

Everything slowing down, I wish I was yours" - The Cure

And so goes the song "Secrets" made famous by 80's super group The Cure.

My favorite kind of pony ever Ponyboy has taken this song to it's literal extremes in their cover of it and the companion video off of their CD "Hookups."

You've gotta love these art fags as nobody addresses being gay in society better than them. Lady Gaga should bow at their feet.

Oh, in case you did not know, the band consists of two very talented guys Charles McVey & David Zey,

The video directed by Charles packs a punch! Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

To quote my "boys" : We found your ad on Craigslist, so we made a little film about it!

Ponyboy + The Cure = Amazing

I Feel Pretty, Oh So "Pretty Little Liars"

The "Liars" In GQ
Tomorrow nights, the night, everything is going to be pretty...That's right the girls from the "PLL" down in the PA of Rosewood are back!

I can't wait! Wonder if we will find out who "A" is finally this season? I hope so, because I think at this point now that we all know Allison has not expired, because no one thought enough of her to renew her, that outing "A" will only forward the story.

No one will be calling the Police if they find out "A"'s true Identity because of how omniscient and powerful the "A" hand is when it is laid down.

Yep, I'm A Fan: Me & Sasha Pieterse aka "Ali"
It will be a battle of wills between the "Liars" and whoever this "A" is. I suspect that "A" is a woman, I was thinking Ali's crazy ass Mom, but, don't you think that would be too obvious?

And WTF with Ezra?! How could he not remotely be in with the "A" gang, I think, despite how they tried to make him a good guy to an extent at the end of last season, obviously he knows who the mysterious "A" is and he really is not all that and a bag of chips anyway.

OK, with that stated even with what I suspect will be the season they out the "A"-Hole there are still plenty of odd things going down in Rosewood, PA to keep this show happening.

Whatever your theory, fans of the show, of which I am a HUGE one get ready for your "PLL" addiction to be fed again!

Tune into ABC Family tomorrow night, if you dare...

Shocker, Not Really: Melanie Griffith & Antonio Banderas Split

Griffith & Banderas
Well, at least they are not consciously uncoupling, and think that water has feelings...
"We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together" - Melanie & Antonio
It's been a long time coming in this writer's estimation, and I hear the split is amicable, one of the most unlikely couples in Hollywood to ever get married are calling it quits. You've got to give it to them they lasted eighteen years.
Here's the 411: The famous duo have been married for 18 years and have one daughter together, Stella, who turns 18 in the fall.
Griffith has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her marriage to the Spanish actor and is asking for spousal support.

Best to both of you.

For A Good Cause: O.A.R. & Phillip Phillips

O.A.R. and Phillip Phillips give it up for a great cause, Habitat for Humanity International. Keep the love flowing..

Rock band O.A.R. and singer Phillip Phillips announced today their joint summer tour will benefit Habitat for Humanity to support the organization’s mission of providing safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with low-income families.

“Home means everything to us. It’s our DNA. It’s who we are,” said Marc Roberge of O.A.R.  “We had the chance to meet amazing people building Habitat for Humanity homes in LA, pouring love and sweat into the foundation, taking pride in the work they were doing, alongside the Habitat partner family, and it was an honor to be a part of that. Words can’t properly describe the positive swell that brought to our hearts. We hope the donation from our tour will help families, like the ones we met, achieve their dreams of homeownership.”

The 24-city joint tour kicks off in St. Louis on June 12 and wraps up in Atlanta on July 26. For every ticket sold, O.A.R. and Phillip Phillips will donate $1 to Habitat. The tour will also host online auctions for a VIP experience in each city, including two premium tickets and an opportunity to meet with the artists. Proceeds from the auctions will go to local Habitat affiliates.

“My team has personally seen the incredible impact Habitat for Humanity can have on lives. We have worked on builds from the Musician's Village rebuild in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to local neighborhoods in my community,” said Phillip Phillips. “Habitat's roots stem from my home state of Georgia but their reach is now worldwide  I am honored to partner with Habitat for Humanity in carrying out their mission - to build homes, communities, and hope."

The artists will also donate 10 concert tickets to the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in each tour city, for use by Habitat volunteers and staff, as well as Habitat partner homeowner families, who they will meet at each tour stop. Habitat affiliates will be provided with space at each venue to raise awareness about their affordable housing work within their communities.

“O.A.R. and Phillip Phillips share our passion for helping low-income families realize the dream of homeownership,” said Colleen Ridenhour, deputy director of Corporate, Foundation and Institution Relations for Habitat for Humanity International. “We are honored to be recognized during their summer tour and are grateful for their generosity in helping raise funds to create safe, decent, affordable housing.”
